Zhejiang University Library is a unit directly affiliated with Zhejiang University and one of the oldest university libraries in China. Its predecessor was the Qiushi Academy Library founded in 1897.
Zhejiang University Library is composed of multiple campus branches, including Yuquan Campus Library, Zijingang Campus Basic Branch Library, Zijingang Campus Agricultural and Medical Branch Library, Zijingang Campus Ancient Books Library (also known as Fangwen Library in some materials), and Xixi Campus Library, Huajiachi Campus Library, etc. The total construction area, number of reading seats, and volume of books in each library vary, but they are all committed to providing teachers and students with a high-quality reading and learning environment.
