The Middle School Affiliated to Northeast Normal University, founded in 1950, is a middle school affiliated to universities directly under the central ministries and commissions, and is affiliated with the Ministry of Education. Its predecessor can be traced back to Changchun No. 3 Middle School and Songbei Five Provinces United Middle School in the 1940s. In 1950, Northeast Normal University took over Changchun No. 3 Middle School and renamed it the Middle School Affiliated to Northeast Normal University. The first principal was Mr. Chen Yuanhui, a famous educator in my country. In 1960, it was renamed the Middle School Affiliated to Jilin Normal University. In 1972, it was renamed Changchun No. 66 Middle School. In 1978, it was renamed the Middle School Affiliated to Jilin Normal University. In 1984, it was renamed under the Ministry of Education and renamed the Middle School Affiliated to Northeast Normal University. The current president is Dr. Shao Zhihao and the party secretary Dr. Liu Lijun.
